Hi all,,
Help me, im a newbie for driver debugging
i was install visualddk in visual studio 2008 team system, and im using VirtualBox v3.0.8
but i can’t syncronyze visualddk with VirtualBox
this is output:
Help me please,, and show me the right configuration…
AnonymousParticipantI also wish to be WinCDEmu portable. Exactly the same way as “Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel” is. In Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel you can install und uninstall driver whenever you want. That’s perfect. But Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel is not working in Vista anymore. And I don’t know any other DVD emulation “portable” software. Maybe the WinCDEmu can be the first program working this way in Vista 😉 ? It is too much work to do it portable?
thanksAnonymousParticipantHi,
Is version 3.3.1 signed already?
Thx & congrats on the program.
AnonymousParticipantTry running with an administrator account.
That made it work for me.AnonymousParticipantThanks bazis, I will be testing soon 🙂
AnonymousParticipantissue doesnt seem to be fixed in version 1.5
I had hoped this would be fixed in version 1.5 but overall i like the new version.
the 64bit build option uses the AMD64 build flag but there is no such flag is seems. The correct flag seems to be x64
AnonymousParticipantif you mean on the project creation dialog, no i have the lastest version of the wdk version 7.6x. for windows 7. it doesn’t specify a platform arch int he OS dropdown.
AnonymousParticipantBazis thanks to his guidance, your post is very helpful
I was able to debug the driver using visualddk
AnonymousParticipantsorry for the post, found it!
AnonymousParticipantAre the command line switches somewhere documented?
AnonymousParticipantearlier i posted a nice feature request would be to automatically test sign my driver as part of build.
I know visualddk doesnt do this yet. so I wrote .bat file to run all the tools needed to sign my driver, but i would like the build command to automatically call my .bat file.
From doing some research on the web i could not find a good answer anywhere. Seems like makefile.inc has to do with the post build process but couldnt find an example anywhere.
If anyone has an ideas or a sample that would awesome!
AnonymousParticipantfigured it out actually
test cert need to be in the trusted root cert store AND the trusted publishers store
AnonymousParticipantsame error: it says cannot find file
c:…inc{wntwlh…}ddkntddk.h.I guees the reason is, there aren’t any dedicated folders for wntwlhwxp etc anymore…
AnonymousParticipantThanks for your assistance so far, but don’t worry about it. If the program is this much trouble to install and work correctly, then it is not worth my time. Every step of the way requires a reboot so far, and I cannot spend my time troubleshooting and endlessly rebooting my computer when Daemon Tools installs and works correctly the first time every time. I do like the idea of WinCDEmu, and I realize that lots of folks have installed it, and have it working without an issue, so no offense by all this. I will have to submit that the combination of iMac and Windows 7 Ultimate is not a working possibility for this software.
Take care,
Tim
