Hi Bazis,
>If WinDbg/VirtualKD works, and VisualStudio with VisualDDK fails, you can try using Debug->Attach command, selecting “Kernel-mode connections” and picking your OS manually. You will get either a working debug session, or a more detailed error message.
Attach to Process
Transport: Kernel-mode connections
Qualifier: pipe://kd_Windows7_x86_English_Debug…Unable to connect to ‘pipe://kd_Windows7_x86_English_Debug’. All pipe instances are busy.
Any idea?
I am trying to do it with some processes, Virtual Machine monitor, Visual Studio, WinDbg, Sun Virtual Box and Windows7 x86 English Debug.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Best Regards,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I will be trying it soon! Please hold on.
Again, thank you very much for your cooperation.Best Regards,
AKiraAkiraAnonymousParticipantOk, thank you for your fastly response.
Indeed I had thought at limited local kernel debugging of “DebugView” or “WinDbg”. But I completly agree with you, VisualDDK must encourage the good way, and not possible corrupt or crash solution 🙂
Thanks you again!AnonymousParticipantI can’t edit my own posting…
Please don’t let WinCDEmu prompt for a drive letter on _every_ image mount (or make it an additional option that is not tied to what I wrote in my last post)!
Thx,
HighendAnonymousParticipantYes, I mean ‘is it compatible with PAE’?
I have no problems, but just imagine it.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Yes, the VirtualKD works with WinDbg on my machine.
Do we need to install newrk brigde to host and guest OS?Again, thank you very much for your cooperation.
Best Regards,
AKiraAnonymousParticipantJust an update. I was able to mount the files, however I did it by mounting the BIN itself by right clicking on it and then selecting wincdemu to open it.
Just found it strange that it wouldn’t work straight from the CUE file, especially since another utility managed it successfully.
Still, this is a sweet piece of software.
AnonymousParticipantIf the ideas from the OP could be implemented this would basically be perfect for me. Hope it gets included in future updates! 😉
AnonymousParticipantAnd System Information for Windows only shows the mounted .iso as a CD Drive (not DVD) and when you show the properties of the device it doesn’t show the “DVD Region” tab like a normal DVD drive…
AnonymousParticipantThe following programs do not appear to “notice” any of the wincdemu mounted .iso files that I have tried:
(Yes, these are all legal .iso files I have ripped from DVDs I own…)IsoPuzzle 1.7
DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0
DVDFab 6.0.2.2All these programs notice .iso files mounted with MagicDisc 2.7
There must be something the wincdemu isn’t reporting back “correctly” when these programs as for a list of DVD drives.
AnonymousParticipantThanks !
Your attacchment works also for me with win7 ultimate
Wich difference with the normal version?@bazis wrote:
Sorry, mistyped the link. Here is the correct one: http://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/win7fix/WinCDEmu-2.3-Win7.exe
AnonymousParticipantWhen I mount an ISO DVD the drive shows as a CD so VLC media player, WMP and other programs wont play the DVD directly even though the VIDEO_TS files and such show up as normal and the size is well over CD size.
This seems to only happen to some of my ISO files however, any thoughts on how to make the mounted ISO show as a playable DVD rather than a pair of TS files? Thanks for your help!
AnonymousParticipantHi all,
one question: Is this feature already implemented?
I have downloaded the current version of WinCDEmu today.Best Regards
AnonymousParticipantThank you, it worked like a charm!
There were 2 driver alerts when installing (told it to continue anyway) and another when I mounted the first ISO that said:
Cannot find C:Windowssystem32DriversBazisVirtualCD.sys. Update WinCDEmu driver?
I selected, YES and it has been working fine ever since.
My computer was powered down last night and I’m not sure if any of the experimentation I did last night with Testsigning or Disabling Driver Signature Enforcement affected the install today.
AnonymousParticipantLink is dead for me at the moment.
Will keep trying it periodically.
