The seemingly random “adb server is out of date” problem that occurs sometimes when you debug your Android apps on a phone over USB has now been solved. It has been caused by HTC Sync app and is fixed by replacing its own old adb.exe instance with a stub. We’ve made and published an automatic fix for it: http://visualgdb.com/adbfix
