Is there any logs?

Maybe a long shot, have you tried to download and install the WinXP DDK?
Also maybe try sysinternals procmon. Look for things like “File not Found” that vmmon64.exe is trying to find.

You could try to manually run the x86 version of DDKLaunchMontor.exe in your Guest VM.

I don’t know about those compile errors.
But I found that VirtualBox 4.1 works with VisualDDK and VS2010.

You could try VirtualBox 4.1

Visual DDK works with VirtualBox 4.1 although VMware seems to work quite well also.
