I love WinCDEmu due to its small footprint and open source philosophy; My only problem is that no matter what I try I am unable to successfully run an image that has been protected with Securom 5.03.04 (even if it has been patched to rip out Securom). When using WinCDEmu I just get a message saying “insert original disc” and “not a copy” with a reference to Securom. I have managed to use some 3rd party tools to successfully defeat Securom and burn a backup CD. I use patched images to successfully build the CD, however when I try and mount these images in WinCDEmu I still get the same problem with Securom. Even if I rip the backup CD I created I still get the same problem when mounting in WinCDEmu. Other emulators such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol work fine, so I cant understand what the problem is with WinCDEmu I really love WinCDEmu as it is such a light and efficient program so I would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions how to rectify this in WinCDEmu
