    During the installation you’re writing a Hardware ID of “rootBazisVirtualCDBus”, but under Windows XP x86 (not seen this on Windows 7 x64) you’re writing another Hardware ID containing a single character 0x16 (22 decimal).

    I had a brief look at your INF file but I can’t see why it’s being written. Problem is that various hardware inventory scanners we use are picking up the 2nd Hardware ID which is invalid, it’s also shown in Device Manager.
