    Hi,

we are successfully using VisualGDB, it’s a great tool. As there is Visual Studio for macOS available, are there any plans for VisualGDB for macOS?

    Hi,

Sorry, not currently. VisualGDB is based on a technology (WPF) that allows building complex and easy-to use graphical interfaces, so unless it becomes available on MacOS (or we get sufficient interest from MacOS users to justify creating an abstraction layer on our side), VisualGDB will only run on Windows.

I think VisualGDB for macOS would be a great addition to an already amazing product. Thank you for all you do.

We agree, however re-writing everything from scratch and maintaining 2 separate copies of every feature would be an overkill for us.

That said, there has been some progress for running .Net apps on MacOS, and a few cross-platform GUI libraries are appearing, so we might be able to release some subset of the functionality on MacOS sooner or later (although we don’t have any specific plans yet).
