    Hello,

I am trying to follow the instructions of the VisualDDK quick start here:

    http://articles.sysprogs.org/visualddk/firstdriver/

Unfortunately, I am unable to load the driver in the guest OS.

Reaching to stage 19 there, when pressing the “load driver” button,

The “Driver Launch in progress” window is poped up, and there I get this message.

Contacting VisualDDK Launch monitor on 10.0.0.3 via UDP…
    Sending ping packet (1)…
Pinging 10.0.0.3 failed: This operation returned because the timeout period expired.
    Sending ping packet (2)…
Pinging 10.0.0.3 failed: This operation returned because the timeout period expired.
    Sending ping packet (3)…

Also, DDKLaunchMonitor is opened in the guest OS.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

How can I get to the bottom of it?

I found someone else who had the same issue, and has been told to set its guest OS networking into “Host-Only adapter”. Tried this, I get blue screen of death on my host OS.

Having that said, I am currently using NAT networking on my guest OS, as said in the “Prepare” section in the link I’ve provided above.

    Thanks in advanced.
