The NEW ESP8266 Update Today

I had asked several days ago if you folks had the latest RTOS and you replied yes.

I posted this on the Espressif site several days ago.

It identified performance issues and the fact that IGMP did not work in the released RTOS SDK.

I informed you that Espressif had made 4 libs available that was suppose to address the IGMP issue and you stated that you would wait until Espressif made a formal release.

I waited for days for Espressif to comment on my post but they never did.

Last night I replied to my post asking Espressif if they were ever going to release a NEW RTOS with the development fixes show in the 4 libs …. no reply from Espressif again.

Today I get an ESP8266 NEW release from you folks.

Guess what — the intent of those 4 libs is now part of the latest RTOS release.

I’m a happy camper!!!

Good to know. Once the next RTOS release is officially out, we’ll update our toolchain as well.
