SmarTTY X11 Forwarding Doesn't Work

I’ve previously used Putty and XMing to run X11 Apps remotely. Since I discovered SmarTTY I’ve been using for most of remote servers but I’ve never gotten X11 forwarding to do anything. I’m working off a clean install of Windows 10 and SmarTTY and it appears the DISPLAY variable is never set on the remote host. I’ve tried setting it to a number of things like localhost:0.0 and as well as the ip address of my client machine but all I’m getting on the remote host is “Can’t Open Display”. SmarTTY is set to use it’s built in XMing server so I’m not sure what isn’t configured right. Any ideas?

So it turns out XAuth wasn’t installed on the machine I was trying to access… I feel kinda silly now.
