When I try to use the meta-key (ALT), it simply activates the SmarTTY menu, and I have to fall back to the ESC + key mode. This makes repeated meta-key presses a bit clunky. (Think M+f/b for example, jumping around the line. Bungying up-and-down to ESC and f/b gets tedious after a couple of rounds of it.)

Is there something smart you can do about this for a future release? E.g. add in a keyboard shortcut that allows me to unbind/rebind ALT from accessing the SmarTTY menu, and simply have M+key pass through to the terminal when I need it?
