    Hi,

I have tried several settings, listed below. Does anyone know what the correct settings are??

    Host: Win XP Pro SP2
    Guset: Win XP Pro SP3
    VirtualBox 3.1.0 r55467

Patched guest as per automated install.
    run Vmmon.exe
    Start Guest, selected “Debug”

    Guest Serial port settings
    Enabled
    Port No: COM1
    Mode: Raw File
    Port/File PATH: \.pipekd_Win_XP_B

    Windbg does not start automatically.

    windebug “debugee not connected”

    Mode: Host Pipe

    windebug “debugee not connected”

    Mode: Host Pipe

    CREATE Pipe: CHECKED

    windebug “debugee not connected”
    Guest dialog box: VERR_PIPE_BUSY

    Mode: Host device

    windebug “debugee not connected”

Virtual machine shows dialog box: Starting Virtual Machine….

You don’t need to setup VirtualBox COM port. Instead, just run VMMON.EXE and let it run WinDbg for you. If this still does not work, try VirtualBox 3.0.x (or recompile VBoxDD.dll using latest VirtualBox headers). I’ll check the binary compatibility with 3.1 slightly later.
