    Hello,

I see that Qt has released a tailored version for microcontrollers https://www.qt.io/product/develop-software-microcontrollers-mcu

Is it necessary to install the QT visual studio tools from the marketplace, or VisualGDB integrates directly anything related? From the marketplace the description of VisualGDB is “integrates GCC, GDB, Make, CMake and Qt into Visual Studio”. So I can’t understand if Qt is completely installed in VGDB or I need the extension tool.

Also, do you plan to make some example using this tool? It seems very interesting.

    Thank you,

    Mattia Berton

Thanks for the pointer. We will assess the popularity of the new Qt for microcontrollers framework and will consider supporting it directly.

Currently, VisualGDB supports Qt for Linux targets. You can find out the necessary setup steps in our Qt tutorials: https://visualgdb.com/w/tutorials/tag/qt/
