I want to examine the kd serial protocol while speaking to a Windows 7 guest in VMware and a Windows 7 host but I it does not appear to be working. I have virtualkd installed in the guest and when I run vmmon it will successfully attach kd to the guest OS. Vmmon also shows a count of packets that it has seen and I have the checkbox marked for logging the packets as html. Unfortunately, I cannot find any record of logging. Is there a tutorial or can someone point me in the right direction? All help is appreciated. Thanks.
