Not seamless refactoring

    Hi All,

    It is EXTREMELY inconvenient to use seamless refactoring in some cases. Maybe it is OK if one wants to change one or two symbols in a name. But seamless refactoring is a pain if one needs to fully rename an entity.

    Is there NOT seamless refactoring? A menu with option to to change the name? Best if with a plain dialog “Here is the old name, enter how to change it”?

    P.S. Now if I want to fully rename function/field I have to set cursor in the middle, delete the beginning (refactoring bulb occurs), then start the new name, then delete the tail. On each step refactoring bulb can disappear and I have to start from the beginning. I also saw bugs with seamless refactoring if I refactor something with several ‘_’ in the middle.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback. Although this is not possible now, we have added a note to the v5.3 feature list and will add an option to start renaming via a menu command.
