Library directories become lost (Arduino)

Frequently upon building or starting after minor (or even no changes), the included libraries are reported not to be found.

To fix it, I have to go to the VGDB settings, uncheck and recheck the “Ignore default library directories” field and  hit OK. (The field needs to be checked.)

Although this works, it is annoying and time consuming.

Is there a fix?
