Install VisualGDB in Visual Studio 2017

I am not able to install VisualGDB into Visual Sudio 2017.  I have Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2017 Version 15.8.0.  I installed VisualGDB 5.4r2 and linked it to Visual Studio 2017.  After I do this in Visual Studio I go to Tools-> Extensions and Updates and there is no VisualGDB installed.

Hi,

Please let us know whether the VisualGDB.pkgdef file mentioned in step 7 of the diagnostic instructions exists and whether the registry value mentioned in step 8 is set correctly.

I missed steps 7 & 8

When I looked at step 7 it did not exist, so then I went to step 8 and it still had the original community version as the path in it, so I deleted that path and reinstalled VisualGDB and it works as expected now.

No problem and good to know it works. FYI: we are updating our installer to support VS2019, so we will try to improve the detection of multiple VS2017 installations as well.
