    I’m trying to create a project following the ESP8266 tutorial and I have come to the part where I need to configure the XT-OCD debug method.  I do not have the XT-OCD software component and so I have followed the download link which takes you to the ESP8266 forums web site.

    All good so far, now for the bad part, the Windows Installer is no longer available.

    Has anyone else tried this?  Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find the software.  Google is being unhelpful.

    Hi,

    We have recently released a new toolchain containing an improved ESP8266 port of OpenOCD. We recommend using it for new projects instead of the unsupported xt-ocd tool.
