Hi Basiz,
When the new portable version come out?We need only some simply feature, but you can make a new version in 2 minute.
Take the last 3.6 source, open the file batchmnt.cppand change this line:VirtualCDClient clt(&status);
To
VirtualCDClient clt(&status, true);
In this way we can use the portable driver instead of installed driver, you need only to create a button for “Uninstall” and “install” driver
Last thing, add at the last line of the uninstalling driver process this CMD command:
driverquery
For refresh and not give the error:
The specified service has been marked for deletionI have try to do by myself but everytime i have 10.000 error, and i’m using BazisLib….
For you it’s only 2 minute, please give to us a new portable version with batchmntPLEASE!
October 12, 2012 at 18:29 #2385AnonymousParticipantCome’on Bazis…you have some respect for people using you software? We don’t want many changes/feature, but something really simple for you but very important for us.
Can you change two line of code or you don’t have time?Sorry for being rude, but it’s not fun to wait many years ( yes, years ) for a new portable version.
October 13, 2012 at 18:34 #2386AnonymousParticipantI’d like to see a new portable version with that feature, a command line can be very useful
October 26, 2012 at 21:05 #2384supportKeymasterHi, guys. Sorry for the delay, got far too many things to do.
Try this build: http://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/portable/PortableWinCDEmu-3.6.exe
Note that it has not been through the usual testing cycle, so feel free to report any bugs…October 28, 2012 at 14:18 #2368AnonymousParticipantThanks for the new version. First two problem:
1) The .exe says 3.6 but the GUI 3.4, it’s not a problem but i don’t know if you know
2) Always same problem about uninstalling
Try by yourself:
1) Open WinCDEmu
2) Click OK – Install driver
3) Uninstall the driver
4) Open Wincdemu
5) Click OK – Install driver
6) ERROR:
Driver installation failed:
The specified service has been marked for deletionWe have only two solution
1) Reboot the system and WinCdEmu can install the driver
2) Open cmd –> type “driverquery” without quotes and WinCdEmu can install the driver
The solution is easy, add a driverquery command after the driver uninstalling3) What about the batchmng?
Maybe is cool to add the command line, it’s the most feature request. And maybe add the option to install/uninstall the driver throught commandline, i have talked with some user of the forum and the agreeThanks and have a nice day 😉
October 28, 2012 at 14:26 #2369RetenParticipantI agree with Thunder for everything he wrote.
Bazis I’ll answer here because the argument is the same, i don’t use the portable versione because the batchmnt not recognize the portable driver, so if you can add a command line for the portable version i’ll use the new portable version
I’d like also the opportunity, as Thunder said, to install / uninstall the driver directly from the command line, so is useless to use of devcon.Another little feature request.
It’s better to add an option to remove the ISO and not the drive itself, can create problem with multi-iso installationThanks for everything, really.
October 29, 2012 at 08:28 #2370AnonymousParticipantHi i have tested the new version, i can confirm:
1) The uninstalling driver problem, and i can confirm also the solution, just write on cmd “driverquery”
1) The version 3.4 instead 3.6 on the main windowAfter uninstalling the driver, WinCDEmu leaves some traces on the register, here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ServicesBazisPortableCDBus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesBazisPortableCDBus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001EnumRootLEGACY_BAZISPORTABLECDBUS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetEnumRootLEGACY_BAZISPORTABLECDBUS
You have forgot to remove those key and subkey after uninstalling? It’s the portable version, so you need to remove all the traces on the register.
And i agree also in this new feature:
1) The batchmnt for the portable version, with the feature for install/uninstall the driver
2) Add a feature for remove the ISO, not the drive directlyI’m so happy for this new version 😉
