I’ve tested WinCDEmu to see if that’s compatible with a certain virtual machine emluator. That emulator does run it’s own operating system and uses a native CD/DVD format, which is an enhanced ISO 9660 format that supports some extra file attributes.
This OS is able to see the standard formats media label information but needs it’s own format for code- and data-files.
If I mount a standard ISO 9660 or Joliet CD media, I can see the contents in Windows and see the label information in my virtualized OS, but if I mount an ISO for my OS, the media is not shown.
Is WinCDEmu checking the ISO to be ISO 9660 or Sierra format compatible before mounting?
Thanks
