    Trying to tie visualGDB from under VS 2012 to STM32F417ZG Everything works but when you exit the debug error
    “Waiting for a background operation to complete. This dislog will close when the operation completes”
    After that only helps the shutdown process through Task manager.
    All that can be tried, including a launch VS administration mode.
    Windows 7 x64 Prof.
    Any ideas?

    Are you using Texane/ST-Link or OpenOCD?

    Hi,

    Will the problem also happen if you stop the target (Debug->Break All) before exiting? If yes, will running “disconnect” command via GDB Session window before exiting help?
