Hi,

My compagny recently bought VisualGDB for Windows To Linux.

When the tech guy came to install it this error appears in Visual Studio 2015.

• You need to update to the Custom Edition to use this feature

He try deleting older version of VisualGDB but nothing seems to work.

First question, did the .msi version of the trial version of the software is the same as the regular edition ? And if not does it is supose to be provide when we bought the software ?

The .msi that he try to install was named  : VisualGDB-5.3r8-trial.msi

Can you help me with that ?

Most likely you are trying to use some of the features that are only available in the Custom edition.

The trial version is usually a full ultimate version, which after 30 days reverts to whichever license you choose.  We noticed that some of our students used some of the advanced features at the start of their 30 days, only to find they lost them when reverting to a standard Linux build when they activated their licenses.

Yes, this is by design. The trial lets you evaluate all VisualGDB features and is hence equivalent to the Ultimate edition.
