ParticipantHi,
I always enjoyed WinCDEmu on Win7 and recently upgraded to Windows8. Unfortunately I have problems installing the WinCDEmu driver on Win8. Are there any known caveats? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance,

ParticipantI had WinCDEmu installed on my Windows 7 before upgrading to Windows 8. I had to reinstall it but it went without a problem. Am running Win 8 pro 64bit.

ParticipantInstallation was smooth in Windows 8.1, but am unable to UNMOUNT the same using the Eject on right menu. I get the below error,
An error occured while ejecting ‘CD Drive ()’
I tried to double click on the .iso file and even that does not UNMOUNTit.April 5, 2014 at 08:35 #2305Anonymous

Got the very same error, any solution to it yet? any chance to do a manual driver installation.
Strange thing, portable version 3.4 works.

ParticipantSomehow Windows 8 doesn’t bother to tll you why it fails. The emulation drivers are unsigned and on contrary to older Windows versions 8 is not asking the user whether he/she really wants to install unsigned drivers or not.
WinCDEmu installed perfectly fine for me on Win 8.1 Pro x64 by
1. following thishttp://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/2. running the setup as admin (shift+right click -> run as admin)
Hope this helps anyone
