I take the plunge to upgrade to new VMWare Workstation 7.1 today. I find a new problem with VirtualKD 2.3.
When I break into windbg, my host vmware-vmx.exe uses CPU 50%. I assign two cores to my guest Win7 32 VM, which means one of the CPU is spinning. When the guest is running, then host CPU is idle.
I have another VMWare 7.0.1 host and I don’t see this problem. Can somebody confirm it?

    My setup:
    host: Win7 x64, VirtualDDK 1.5
    guest: Win7 32, VirtualKD 2.3

I noticed the same thing. I also noticed the debugger seems more responsive.
