    I’ve successfully used VirtualKD 3.0 for two months, and it works quite well. But today suddenly my host PC(Win81 x64) cannot connect to my VM（Win7x64 on VMware workstation 12). The symptom is: VMmon cannot detect OS being run inside my VM, so WinDBG cannot attach to the OS inside the VM.

    Can some one kindly tell how to diagnose the problem?

    I tried to reinstall the target-stub(vminstall.exe) inside my Win7 VM, and that fixed the problem.

    Just don’t know why it suddenly lost functionality.
