I get the following when I choose Debug|Start debugging in Visual Studio 2015 (VisualGDB 5.6).

    “System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type ‘BSPEngine.RemoteTool’ from assembly ‘BSPEngine, Version=5.6.1.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=8f764369eb712693’.”

I thought perhaps there was something wrong with the unit under test, so I switched to another device and got the same error. In any case it reads like a tools config problem, not a hardware problem.

    Any suggestions?

p.s. I have two current support licenses in my time, my company has at least one other.

    Hi,

It looks like you are using a relatively old preview build. Please try updating to the latest one: VisualGDB-5.6.1.4124.msi

    Thanks for the prompt response.

Strange, I could have sworn that I updated it just the other day, but it was actually in early March – and in any case I should have remembered that I was using a test build!

So I’m sorry about that, and I confirm that the problem does in fact go away when I install 5.6.1.4124.
