I downloaded the software from your website. Installed it on my windows 8 laptop, but it wouldn’t show up on my desktop. I went to the file location and tried opening it from there. But each time I do it brings up the prompt to install.
No matter how many times I reinstall it, it always does the same thing.
Most likely you did not download the full version of the program. I had a similar situation with an application that did not start. The complete removal of the application and the new installation helped. Try it, maybe it will solve your problem.
