I did install the WinCDEmu in my computer (S.O. Windows Vista 64). But don´t work. In control painel has a IDE/Sata Controller called Virtual Disk enumerator. It is with error code 39.
Well, it’s a Microsoft policy in Vista x64 to prevent loading of unsigned drivers. As signing drivers by Microsoft requires quite a budget, it is not an option for free software, like WinCDEmu. A partial workaround is decsribed here: http://www.elandigitalsystems.com/support/code39faq.php.
I have released version 2.3 with SysProgs.org signature. It should run normally with /TESTSINGING turned on (installer will do it automatically). Regarding the signature from Microsoft, I do not see any point in spending $500 per year (according to VeriSign price list) for a feature that can be achieved after a single bcdedit call.
Hi, I almost installed WinCDEmu but I stopped after the installer rebooted my computer for the testing….so now on my backround it says “Test Mode” on each corner. How do i get rid of that? I would appreciate the help ty.
