    Howdy

I’m trying to test VisualDDK 1.5.6 on VirtualBox 4.1.6, 64-bit host and guest, without much luck.
I start up the Windows 7 VM, and it sits at Starting Windows. So, I attach to pipe://kd_Windows_7
in Visual Studio, and the Windows logo comes up. It proceeds until the logo gets a bit bright,
at which point it just sits there, waits a while, and blue-screens with “Hardware malfunction”.
The debugger does say Unable to add at 0000000000 a couple times, if that makes any difference.
    PIIX3 and ICH9, neither work.

Any idea what the cause might be?

How did you integrate VirtualKD into VirtualBox? Could you have accidentally left VBoxDD0.dll from an older VirtualBox version? (e.g. just replaced VBoxDD.dll after updating VirtualBox, but did not update VBoxDD0.dll)?
Try reinstalling VirtualBox and reintegrating VirtualKD with it (since VisualDDK 1.5.6 it can be done by running VirtualKDSetup.exe). This will ensure that all files have correct versions.

Reintegrating didn’t seem to make any difference.
    I use the automatic method.
