The latest MSP430 toolchain available for download is 8.3.1. One the TI site which is linked here on the MSP430 page, the latest version available from TI is 9.3.1.2. Are there any plans to update this on the gnutoolchains.com website?
No problem, we have just released an repackaged version of the latest TI toolchain that should work out-of-the-box with VisualGDB. You can update it via VisualGDB Package Manager or here: https://gnutoolchains.com/msp430/
