I don’t know why that recently I have this Eject problem with WinCDEmu.
For every time I have mounted an image file, I can’t eject/unmount the drive. If I right-click the drive and choose eject on the menu, the drive seems to have unmounted and disappear on “My Computer”. However, I think that action is also breaking the registry, because WinCDEmu seems to be broken from that point and I can’t mount any image files anymore.
If I try to mount an image file at this point, the computer plays the “fail to mount” sound and the drive won’t appear on “My Computer”. I double click the image file again and the computer plays the “unmount” sound notification.
Whenever this happens, WinCDEmu seems to be broken and unusable. I have to go through the following routine again and again:
Run wcdcleanup to clean up
Uninstall WinCDEmu
Reboot
Install WinCDEmu
I find that the only way to unmount without breaking WinCDEmu is to restart my computer, which is a dumb way.
