Crashing on Start Debug

I installed MSVC2019 (removed old MSVC2017 with which i used VisualGDB before)

installed the VisualGDB successfully on it. I could create stm32 project, build it, then configured debug; tested the debug connection in Debug setup window – all good.

however, once i start debugging the MSVC with VisualGDB crashes and restarts automatically, after that if i try again, it just crashes maybe second or 3 seconds after Debug buttom is pressed.
seems that it can flash device but upon start of debugging (which is what VisualGDB supposed to do) it just crashes and MSVC exits..

Hi,

Thanks for renewing your support. This might be indeed a bug in VisualGDB.

Please update to the latest VisualGDB 5.5 Preview 7. If this doesn’t fix the problem, please try creating a call stack of the crash as shown here and either post it here (along with the VisualGDB build number), or send it via our support form.

I updated to 5.5 and problem seems to be gone;

at least for this project, if something similar happens I’ll Repost here again
