    Might be some trivia with the installation that I missed, but UAC prompts for the admin password every time I mount an image.
    Is running as admin required, or are some permissions not set correctly?

    Admin account is required to perform such low-level system actions, as adding new virtual devices. Maybe, this restriction will be relaxed in further versions.
