I’m running windows XP. When I unmount an ISO volume by using “eject”, the file handle isn’t closed so I can’t delete the .iso file. If I unmount the file by clicking on the file in windows explorer, the handle is closed and I can delete the file; however, once a file has been unmounted using eject, the handle has been leaked and a future attempt to mount and unmount using windows explorer will not free the file resource so it can be deleted (or moved or whatever). I haven’t tried this on any other OS or with any other image file formats, only ISO on XP.
