Hello,
I tried to install VisualDDK, but I have a problem. The ‘Next’ or ‘Finish’ buttons never become active. I’ve chosen the WDK path, which in my case is 6000 version.
I’m using Windows 7 Professional and Visual Studio 2008. I have the latest version of Debugging tools for Windows installed ( both 32 and 64 bit ).
Also I have both WDK 6000 and 7000 beta installed.
I would very much like to try out this product, I think it’s a great ideea.Thanks!
Ok, VisualDDK setup checks the validity of WDK path in the following way:
The file %WDKPATH%incddkntddk.h should exist. %WDKPATH% is the path you enter in the setup window. Please check that the file exists on your machine and that you are entering correct path.
Ok. Solved it..
Seems to have been a Version Problem. I installed an older Version (7.1.0) of WDK (only by bruning an ISO… found it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11800). Still the mentioned header ist not findable by Windows Search. But VisualDDK now just found the needed Folder itself while opening the Reconfigure Program.Kind of a dumb mistake of me. Sorry.
